Solitude

The old sheep barn is in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and is beautiful any time of the year. I have been there many times but never at the right time. The photos I used to supplement mine were stock photos which I merged into this nice composition.  The feeling of quiet and peace were created softly with a pencil. The barn was stark and a bright red on this gloomy day so much of my detailed pen and ink were reserved for its creation with the two detailed trees window dressing for the lovely barn. I used a combination of red ink and light grey washes to capture the perfect color for this drawing.
