Lake Holiday – 11 x 14 Giclee

The soft mist, the red tree and the serenity of the day were captured using several techniques with a pencil. 2B lead and a new type of textured paper allowed for the very cool softness of the background. Some ink washes and the new brush pen were used for the reeds and pen and ink for the “Island”.

The final hit of ink was mixed with an opaque watercolor to achieve the vibrancy of the trees found in Virginia on a late autumn.
